A collection of book recommendations, awesome links, and free advice for the curious.

Humans fascinate me. I have often lost faith in humanity through studying human history. There seems to be a greater force involved that no one, and I mean really almost no one speaks of. There are so many philosophies, theories, systems, studies, religions, etc. that I am dumbfounded to see people still fighting over these differences. When will we realize that we must agree to disagree?!! How can we let differences ruin relationships, families, nations and races?

But then I remember why I chose to come here: To let love resonate within me and spread it like butter throughout the multi-universes. I am NOT perfect, I am human. And I find challenges in practicing unconditional love almost on a daily basis. I have by NO MEANS perfected it and maybe never will, but I know I am here to every day do my best.

With pure confidence, I can say that 100% of any emotional suffering and pain I have felt has been from personal relationships or humanity in general.

Just as much as I do my best and practice forgiveness to what many call the dark forces, I also practice it with those who claim to be pure light. The spiritual movements (although I consider myself a very spiritual person), the gurus… only take away from what I believe to be the sovereign human being. That each one of us ARE gods/goddesses . . . that there is no “good” / “bad” – but many lessons that teach multitudes. That we are all light AND dark. And if we are in equilibrium, they are equal parts of us all.

“It is not that we need to see different things – but rather, to see things differently.”

What is this body? What inhabits it? What is a fractal? What is infinite? What do we have to do with sacred geometry? I was raised as a Lutheran Christian. Since a tiny child I was told that earth was created in 7 days, that Eve was made from the rib of Adam and the ten commandments to abidingly live my life by. This way, I never questioned my existence until I was 28 years old.

“We are slow to believe that which if believed would hurt our feelings.” –Ovid, Roman Poet, 43-18BC

I am not saying that these teachings are incorrect; they just don’t seem to be my own personal truth. How do I know what that is? It is a sensation that I feel within my very being, my intuition. It is a voice that speaks to me in my dreams and takes me to parallel worlds. They are angels who visit me and show me the interconnection between all living organisms. They are the plants that grow from our mother as gifts to be ingested so to help us understand in tiny pieces and fractions what this all means.

Have you ever seen the movie The Truman Show with Jim Carey? I think this is a good analogy to what might be going on here. I only ask that you explore my truth, but follow your own instincts, ask your own questions and ultimately follow your gut.

Cosmos and Beyond

We spend a lot of time gazing at the stars. All we know about what is out there is what controlled sources will tell us or have us believe. Is there life beyond earth? Are we being watched? Are we an experiment? What is beyond what the eye allows us to see? What are we made of? Better yet… what is underneath our waters? The eye definitely does NOT take us there... So many questions…

“Dear Great Mystery, please help us remember who we are and why we chose to come here.” –Love, Blakely

Our body is the sacred temple that houses our spirit. What happens in our inner world is a direct reflection of what we create in our outer world, creating a ripple effect (like throwing a pebble into a placid lake) that continues to spread until reaching its periphery, which could be non-existent if we look out at the stars on a clear night.

A Zen blessing at mealtime says: “In this plate of food, I see the entire universe supporting my existence.”

Presently, I believe that if we are living organisms, we should feed our bodies with as much life as possible, to continue to strive to our fullest. A raw food lifestyle and natural healing methods have been GIGANTIC forces in my personal experience to help evolve myself, have a deeper connection with Pachamama, have a greater understanding of my purpose and why I chose to come to planet earth at this time.

The following two books have currently been considered my bibles, for if the root of happiness is feeling healthy and vital energy to live… then health is my number one priority. I hope you can enjoy the many benefits of these fantastic tools as I do.

12 Steps to RAW foods + Natural Healing Wisdom and Know How

Mother Earth. The heart. The Goddess. The Giver. Gaia. Pachamama. She is most sacred above all. She is being exploited and pumped with chemicals. I often look to the ancient ones and the indigenous peoples to search for answers in how we can reverse this depletion. It is time to once again give back to our mother the boundless gifts she has humbly bestowed on us since the beginning of existence.

Philosophy / Psychology

I enjoy these certain people and experiences because they are not necessarily mainstream, although these books were never burned, they weren’t/aren’t renown for a reason... so it goes as they say: “A book worth burning is a book worth reading.”

For the Masculine and Feminine that wish to explore their Goddess within

Can we remember who we are… before the world told us who we should be? The Divine Feminine is full embodiment and presence, through the body, through the senses, through emotions, and primarily through pleasure. Honoring the Sacred Feminine is about valuing the innate worth of woman’s mind, body and soul, as well as appreciating the “feminine” qualities in the male character.

Yin Yang is perhaps the most known and documented concept used within Taoism. They are two halves that together complete wholeness. Yin and yang are also the starting point for change. When something is whole, by definition it is unchanging and complete. So when you split something into two halves – yin / yang, it upsets the equilibrium of wholeness. This starts both halves chasing after each other as they seek a new balance with each other.

Our brain is divided into two halves, as most of us know: the left and right side. Each side processes information very differently than the other, and the biggest difference is the visual aspect. The right side of the brain looks at visual reference as a whole, whether it be a landscape, object, or piece of artwork, and then works its way into noticing finer details. The left side on the other hand, first sees the details and puts them together to form the bigger picture. While we all use both sides of the brain, each of us has a dominant side, and this dominant side makes up for a huge part of our personalities.

Male and Female energy are the Yin and the Yang, the In and the Out, the Up and the Down. For within every “One” (or of course the all encompassing One), there is a two. For every male, there is a female. For every female, there is male to create a balance. I’m speaking from a perspective of vibration. I want you to really take this concept outside of your ideas about people in specific. This is something that is everywhere, it works through everything, and its just a matter of looking for it, and asking the right questions.

When you can SEE male and female energy, it opens up a new world of inner and external exploration. You begin to understand that life everywhere is connected through its very existance – and cause and effect of the infinite unfolding is too an exchange of Male and Female energy. (Spirit Science)

For every internal Female, there is also an internal male. For every External Male, there is an External female. It’s all just perspective on how we relate things to each other.  When we begin to pay attention to these different aspects of ourselves, we can begin to rewrite and question the ways that we do things.

When you think of Prime Creator, what or whom do you picture? In our society, we have been taught that the god energy represents the source and that the feminine energy represents the use or activity of it. Could it be the other way around? The feminine represents the source and the masculine represents how the source is used?

Our planet must learn who the Goddess is as a creator. Understanding the dark side of the Goddess is part of exploring her energy, because the Goddess did something to lose her power. It is in the cells of our being because all of us, man and woman alike, have the Goddess within us. . . .

"Often, women have been in disdain of their menstrual blood, rather than understanding it as the source of their power. The blood carries the genetic code, and because the Mother Goddess is the source of all things, this is where the code comes from. It is where the story is hidden. Menstrual blood can be used to nurture plant life, to mark Earth, and to let Earth know that Goddess lives again. In general women don't bleed into Earth anymore. Doing so is a direct transference of the energy of the Goddess. When women put their blood onto Earth, she is nurtured."

– Excerpt from Earth by Barbara Marciniak

I am inspired by many of the following artists. Some of them I have listened to since growing up. Many of them (like 2Pac and Bob Marley) have opened my eyes to realities I have never experienced myself, thus broadening my own perspective of the human experience. For me, these are innovating artists that push me to be a better musician. It is quite an eclectic assortment of genres… so if you have some time, check them out!

Mantras/Prayer/Medicine Songs:
We begin with sound, we are held together by sound, and someday we will return to the cosmic Music of the Spheres.
Knowing the power of unifying the communal heartbeat, and the way song and dance give expression to the emotions and the soul, virtually every culture has made use of song and dance, chant and procession, to carry their voices and spirits to the deity of their choice.
I get a lot of inspiration for Mantras and Prayers from Mirabai Devi’s website.
Also this site, the Sacred Valley Tribe has a little bit of everything, even chords to play on a guitar.

Essential Oils:
Essential oils support healing in five stages. They strengthen us during each stage and prepare us for the next level of healing:

1. Help assist in healing the physical body
2. Help assist in healing of the heart
3. Help assist in releasing limiting beliefs
4. Help increase spiritual awareness and connection
5. Help inspire the fulfillment of our life’s purpose

I use essential oils on a daily basis, have it be for emotional, physical or purely enjoyment purposes.
